The projection for Hurricane Ida puts it in a bad position for the fall/winter migration. The link below shows the projected impact over the next four days. The southeast curve has interesting potential even if the storm turns extra-tropical as the winds would be blowing strong from east to west (toward the Gulf). Meantime, it appears that Yucatan and Western Cuba may be closed to migrants for a while.
