I was out in a boat in Snake Bight channel on Friday searching for Flamingos we were not disappointed! We found 43 Flamingos!! They were seen between
Christian Point and Snake Bight trail. The only way to see these birds is by boat, canoe or if you are really brave by walking Christine Point trail.
The trail probably has some flooded areas as well as more mosquitoes than you can possibly believe!!

Also seen was a soaring dark morph Short-tailed Hawk as we were getting off the boat in Flamingo. Two more Short-tailed Hawks were seen together flying
over the agricultural areas about a mile before entering the park. One was a dark morph the other a light morph. On Thursday in Flamingo we had a male
Shiny Cowbird near the motel and an Orchard Oriole feeding in a fig tree.
