It is time to start preparing for the 2009 KENDALL CHRISTMAS BIRD COUNT, scheduled for SATURDAY, DECEMBER 26TH .

Participants are desperately needed to help survey the count area, which runs roughly from Bird Road south to Black Point, and from the Bay over to SW 142nd Avenue. We can also use feeder and yard/neighborhood watchers!

Last year, we tallied 120 species (+ 9 exotics), including a small race Canada Goose, Barn Owl, Lesser Nighthawk, Tropical Kingbird, grosbeak (sp.), and Bronzed Cowbird. We had the highest count in the country for 4 species!

If you are interested in participating, PLEASE email me as soon as you can at bill@tropicalaudubon.org
