Hello! Want a chance at birding one of the most beautiful, yet under-birded, areas of Miami-Dade County? Over the years we have seen Magnificent Frigatebirds, Great Horned Owls, Brown Boobies, and other interesting birds in our CBC, and on the relatively undisturbed tropical hardwood hammocks of Elliott Key, who KNOWS what we'll find this year. But we need good birders to find them!
Unfortunately, due to boat operator availbility we have to do the Biscayne National Park Christmas Bird Count on a weekday, Monday December 14th. Also unfortunately, boat capacity is limited therefore we must limit the number of participants. If you'd like to participate, please contact Howard_Tritt@nps.gov soon so that he can reserve your place on a boat. We'll send out a final confirmation email well before the date. Thanks!
