On today's count we had some nice diversity in species. Nothing out of the ordinary but still a nice walk after the rain storm.
Highlights:
Black-bellied Whistling Duck family of 7
7 Pied-billed Grebe (they keep increasing every week lately)
2 Sora
120 American Coot (back in good numbers now)
1 Black-necked Stilt (This is from the dozen or so that were raised and released at the wetlands about a month ago. Somehow this one is has survived the Cooper's Hawk.)
1 Wilson's Snipe
2 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds
1 Belted Kingfisher
a dozen Palm Warlbers
2 Female Painted Buntings
