Off of Hiatus Road. Just regular bird seed, but when the Painted Buntings arrive, I try to get it without sunflower seed to keep the squirrels away. You need to locate the feeder near some bushes. I also have a bird bath nearby with fresh water daily. I have three feeders around the yard and they come to all of them. I have one feeder right outside of my office and I can sit at my desk and observe them. I also see them on the lawn and underneath the feeders getting seeds from the ground. I usually get a least a dozen staying in the yard each year. Once I counted nine on a feeder at one time. I had five on one feeder Saturday. There are usually more green ones than males.
