shark river is in the everglades national park---it is one of many rivers that form the topography of s.w. fl.---other rivers are the harney-little shark--as well as rodgers which is about 35 miles north of flamingo near highland beach there are also large bays and basins ie. ponce de leon bay---would suggest you get a chart of the everglades from flamingo north---you can get one at the concession stand at the marina---
