The Black-faced Grassquit was seen this morning by a handfull of birders. The bird was seen further north on the road than usual (but it has been seen there before), nearer to the 35 mph speed sign, on both sides of the road, on the road, and at times high in the pines (at one time accompanied by an ovenbird...weird seeing both of them so high in a tree!). The bird was vocalizing constantly from 8am until 8:45am when we left.

A handfull of warblers were actively feeding in the oaks and ficuses near the entrance to the Gumbo Limbo trail at the Royal Palm Visitor Center between 7:30 and 7:45am including:
Prairie
N.Parula
Am.Redstart
Ovenbird
N.Waterthrush
HOODED (A.Male)

Cheers

David
