During the migration count, Bill Boeringer and I found
10 Burrowing Owls at the Kendall-Tamiami airport, in spite
of an airshow in progress. That was the most I'd seen
there, but I was sure there were more. Today, I decided
to take a slight detour on my way home and count the owls.
I was amazed to find 29 Burrowing Owls!! Since two
were lone owls by cones, I'm pretty sure I did not
get them all.
I had no idea there would be so many owls there.
