Two Wood Storks have been hanging around Oleta River State Park since early July by the river.
They were seen on 9/28/2009 in a mitigation area along the Intracoastal Waterway. A few yards away were a Great Blue Heron and a big White Egret.
Volunteers from Urban Paradise Guild planted 4,500 Red Mangroves at Oleta, and the Storks chose a roost next to some of them.
