Common Mynas have been nicknamed the "dumpster myna" for good reason. Shopping Centers seem to be their favorite hangout. I have never seen in
High Pines or on the University of miami campus,
but they are regular at the Suniland Shopping Center on US1. I saw them near a restaurant off Biscayne Boulevard and 79th Street at least 10 years ago.

: Yep, as you suggested I went to Google Images and, sure enough, the bird I've been seeing is what you thought, the Common Myna. There must be a large population of them in the North Miami area as I see them all the time. Mainly around parking lots and businesses which seems a bit strange. Thanks for your help.
