On Sunday when looking for the Spindalis I had a dark raptor with a white tail and black tips. At the time I dismissed Snail Kite because I have never seen them very high off the water. This bird was very high up with 4 vultures. I think given the field marks that is the most probable species but the behavior had me puzzled.
