From 7 am to 10:30 the Spindalis were another no show on Sunday. Heading back in to Miami I decided to look for some of the exotics while I waited for my flight. Here is what I was able to find or not find
Florida City Wendy's - 1 Common Myna - 11am
Kendall Babtist hospital and neighborhood across the street - empty - noon
Kendall Elementary school - 2 Red Whiskered Bulbul in a tree across the street. 7 Hill Myna on the wires in front of the school. - 12:30
University of Miami campus - very quiet. 1:30
Fort Lauderdale neighborhood - Spot breasted Oriole, 2 adults and 2 juveniles 3:30
Old Griffin Rd - a quick passby here didn't produce any Smooth billed Ani. 4:00 I'm not sure they are even in the area. It looks like the lot they used to be in was mowed at some point.
Evergreen Cemetery - There was a very unusual scene of a Red shouldered hawk, Anhinga, and Osprey all on the same branch within wingspan of each other. Other than that it was very quiet. 4:15
