A look at the radar revealed migrants on the move once again. After three days of little to nothing moving migrants have decided to fly despite the unfavorable winds. From Port Richey to Cape Coral winds are blowing from the N to NNE. The rest of the state is lacking the winds that migrants are looking for. Most migrants are moving down the west coast leaving us on the east coast with moderate to light movement. We expect the best birding to be inland; the further west you go the greater your chances of seeing some decent numbers of migrants. Migrant traps such as Six Mile Slough, Big Cypress Bend Boardwalk, Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, even Loop Road could possibly have some good birding in the morning.
Miami radar is picking up incoming birds, head inland for you best shot at one of the marquee warblers(Toe). Birds are moving in a general N -> SW direction; ENP, the Annex/LH, C-111E should have the best birding. Good Luck to all tomorrow; pass by Badbirdz2 and let us know what you see out there.
