Sightings of the Black-faced Grassquit continued until almost dusk. The bird would periodically fly out into the open, occasionally walking in the middle of the road, only to be flushed back into the brush by a passing car. Though it was spotted mostly in the area where Larry found it this morning (that location is still marked by a ribbon on one side of the road, and a bottle on the other), it seems to be ranging widely. It called periodically even close to dusk.
