This evening there were two mature bald eagles on SW 368th St. One was on a telephone pole by 214th. The other was walking around in a plowed field by 207th trying to blend in with the cattle egrets, and failing to do so.
I have also been seeing two white tailed kites pretty consistently in the evening around 6:30 or 7 in the Annex. One looks to me to be a juvenile, but it might have been how golden the light was. They are sitting in the tops of the trees and are very easy to see. I also saw a female Harrier hunting the field today. Otherwise, it was very quiet in the Annex late this afternoon. Didn't hear one flycatcher, or anyone else for that matter.
