Unfortunately, the light was bad and I didn't have binoculars. Very small warblers hawking insects in the crowns of a couple of oaks. One that I watched flicked its wings and tail (somewhat sideways it seemed), as it flew very small circuits (a foot or two) in the leaves. I could see a bit of yellowish tint on the flanks, it seemed.
Could these be ruby crowned kinglets?
