Hey birders, today was a good birding day. It all started in the morning when I found a Red-eyed vireo in my ficus tree along with 4 gnatcatchers and a Northern Parula. I also got a chance to hear a White-crowned pigeon which was around my backyard. I saw 4 barn swallows migrating south.
At the end of the day I had about 15 miuntes to go to the nature trail across Matheson Hammock. I found my FOS Ovenbird along with a female Redstart. This area should be very productive in the morning. It has an excellent habitat for both waterthrushes, ovenbirds, and some speies of warblers. Finally when I got home I saw 2 Blue-and-Gold macaws. Great birding! Looking forward to go to my first TAS walk for this season next next weekend at A.D. Barnes park.
