Unfortunately I wasn't able to go to the TAS trip due to work so I had to get my birding in this morning. Several FOS. Hit three parks and had the following:
Matheson (mostly Service Rd) for 1.5 hours
Ovenbird (FOS)
N. Waterthrush
N. Parula
Worm-Eating Warbler (FOS)
American Redstart (female)
Prairie Warbler
Yellow-Throated Vireo (FOS)
Chimney Swift
Osprey (5 together on one tree)
Eastern Wood-Pewee (FOS)
Yellow-Chevroned Parakeets
Hill Myna
Blue-Gray Gnatcatchers
AD Barnes - 1.5 hours (pretty active)
Ovenbird
N. Parula
Worm-Eating Warbler
A. Redstart (males and females)
Prairie Warbler
Yellow-Throated Warbler
Black and White Warbler
Red-Eyed Vireo
Blue-Gray Gnatcatchers
Red-Shouldered Hawk
Spot-Beasted Oriole
Kendall Indian Hammock for 1/2 hour
N. Parula
Prairie Warbler
Red-Eyed Vireo
Purple Martin
Barn Swallow
Blue-Gray Gnatcatchers
On the Service Rd. at Matheson I saw what looked like a Swainson's Warbler. Was in the dark underbrush and it moved before I could get my binoculars on it. Plain coloring, long bill and no oustanding markings. Was in the dark underbrush so I can't say it was. Darn, it would have been a lifer!
