Saw a new migrant this morning at the Matheson Hammock service road: an Eastern Wood-Pewee. I wasn't expecting this one this early, so it's a pleasant surprise. It was using the snags in the area where the elevation drops and the hammock opens into a shrubby area. Other that the Pewee, there were few birds. One Prairie, Yellow-throated, Red-eyed Vireo, some Gnatcatchers. I could only stay for a short time, so maybe a more thourough look for produce something else.
