Greetings from New England. I have lamented the loss of many of our migratory birds, but now we are rapidily losing our Litte Brown Bats. White -nose fungal disease is the apparent culprid. Little is know of its origin or ideology, but my personal observations confirms what many biologist have feared and noted, In former years after the sun goes down bats ever night would feed over my yard in Westfield, Ma, This year there have been none.

A little Brown Bat consumes half its weight in insects every night. A latating or pregnant female much more. It is possible we could lose our bats completely.
