For the last week or so we have been looking for shorebirds in the south dade farm fields. It has been slow compared to other years. We still have had some decent birds though:

Black-bellied Plover
Semipalmated Plover
Killdeer
Black-necked Stilt
Lesser Yellowlegs
Greater Yellowlegs
Solitary Sandpiper
Spotted Sandpiper
Least Sandpiper
Pectoral Sandpiper
Upland Sandpiper

We saw five Upland Sandpipers half a mile north of 9336 on s.w. 224 ave. a dirt road. We also had a pair of White-tailed Kites along the berm just west of s.w. 224 ave. about a mile north of 9336. Perhaps these kites are the same ones reported from Lucky Hammock.

Also of note, I had about a dozen Shiny Cowbirds at my feeders as well as Bronzed Cowbirds. I believe this is the most Shiny Cowbirds that I have ever had at my feeders. They are very pretty with a beautiful song!
