This morning (8/30) at Indigenous Park in Key West at 0900 I found a YELLOW-GREEN VIREO foraging with a mixed flock that included a Black-whiskered Vireo and a couple of warblers. The bird was in the back part of the park, between the pond and the road. Two or three times it gave a squeaky sputtering scold call, that was vaguely reminiscent of Tropical Kingbird. I just returned from Panama where I saw several birds of this species and I'm quite sure of it's ID. Soon after I located the bird it started to rain quite hard and I gave up. I'll be back this afternoon to attempt to photograph it. My attempts this morning failed.
