At A.D. Barnes Park this morning I observed in a small but very active mixed flock of warblers: Magnolia Warbler (imm), Redstarts (females - 2), Prairie, Parula, and Yellow-throated Warblers. The Magnolia was a pleasant surprize so early in the season. On a side note, the real threat of closing the nature center and trails due to budget cuts remains very real - do not let your guard down, contact your commissioner.
