The last few days I've been watching a pair of Spot-Breasted Orioles getting green worms from the trees and brushes around the yard to feed their young. Sunday I saw the fledging - not a spot-breasted oriole but a cowbird!, it looks like a Bronzed.
I noticed this morning that one of the parents has a cataract in it's right eye. I've photographed both the kid, adults getting worms, and adult with the cataract.
Nature is really cool!
