Hi everyone,

On Saturday we checked several flooded fields and found a couple Lesser Yellowlegs, hopefully this means the Shorebirds are almost here. It is sad to hear of the terrible breeding season for shorebirds this year; it seems that Sandpipers were hit really hard. We also had a probable Black Tern over one of the flooded fields, they seem to be making their way south as many of them were seen this weekend along the west coast.
Yesterday we were in the Yamato Scrub area at the Japanese gardens and had a Yellow-throated Warbler and another warbler which we could not locate but its call was very Black & White sweet, sweet! Seems as birds are making their way south, get ready!
The Martin roost in N. Dade is still going strong; we stopped for a couple of minutes on Saturday and watched thousands of PUMA come in to roost.

Nature is Awesome
Angel & Mariel
