I believe that Stormwater Treatment Area 2 (STA 2) is open only for seasonal waterfowl hunts managed by the FWC, call (954)746-1789 for info.
Stormwater Treatment Area 3/4 (STA 3/4) is nearby and allows birders entrance. STA 3/4 features information kiosks, paved parking, concrete sidewalks and restrooms for hikers, bicyclers and bird-watchers. A public dual-lane boat ramp is also available for use. The Flamingos might visit this spot as it is not to far away from STA 2, just a hunch.
