Despite the rain, I got a brief tour of STA-1 East this morning. Tons of stilts, snowy egrets, great egrets. At least one dozen wood storks and a dozen spoonbills. One purple swamphen was spotted. Not bad for birding from the car. Lets hope SFWMD opens up the eastern half for birding tours again, soon.
