One can try to keep "non-desirable" birds or others such as squirrels away from their feeders but the chances are that they will figure out how to get to the feeder. When I read this post I thought, welcome those Grackles! In 2007 Larry "the man" Manfredi's feeders hosted a Brewer's Blackbird along with other blackbirds, realistically a Rusty Blackbird could also show up to your feeders as well. Shiny and Bronzed Cowbirds will feed from feeders too, imagine who can say those are trash birds showing up to the feeder!
