Searched for the Black-Hooded Parakeets reported by Robert Morgan School on Eureka Dr. this afternoon. Could not find them and decided to head to Larry and Penny Thompson Park nearby, a park I had been to only once before. The usual were there, Cardinal, Blue Jay, Mockingbird, Shrike, C. Grackle, C. Nighthawk and Red-Bellied Woodpecker. My "treat" birds were a Downy Woodpecker and 2 Eastern Towhees, a male and a female. The male was singing from a bush. Will try for the Parakeets again aanother day.
