strange bird in Davie

This bird strolled up our driveway, about size of large rooster, lge red eye circle, white neck with dark band running virtically from beak to breast. long wide fan like tail, banded brown & white horizontal stripes. Was not fearful, came towards me as I took photos. Feet like chicken. Overall color rust. Cannot find in any of my bird books. Anybody help?
