We have a friend that calls us crazy. Because we were on our way to Magee Marsh in Ohio and decided to detour by way of Jax to see the SandPlover and drove thru sheets of rain to do it. Arrived about 5pm May 23 and birders standing by their scopes said 10 min ago. Parked and hiked back with scope and 10 min later we saw it well. Yes, crazy, but we get the rare birds.
