Toe still needed Bobwhite in the county for the year so I went with him to hopefully hear and maybe see Bobwhite in ENP. We heard Bobwhite shortly after turning on the road into the Long Pine Key Campground area. Toe suggested walking up a trail into the glades area where we found a few birds but no Bobwhite although we heard many calling. On our way back to the car we found a pair on path near the road. Unbelievable.... This is the first time I have gone to look for Bobwhite and actually saw one.
We then went by Larry the "Man" Manfredi's to see Shiny Cowbird. We saw a female Shiny and several Bronzed and had a Swallow-tailed Kite flyby.... How cool!
