Because we did on our Pelagic yesterday off Ponce Inlet!! 7 LIFERS yesterday!
As we braved the elements and 8-9 foot seas, many seasick birders got quite a treat on Michael Brother's Pelagic yesterday. Hi to Roxanne and Troy who drove went on the trip too!
Liferw:
SOUTH POLAR SKUA! (First bird of the day, around 25 miles off the coast. Lifer for lots on the boat)
White-tailed Tropic Bird (adult in breeding plumage that came to within 15-20 feet of the boat, again lifer for many)
3 Black-Capped Petrels
Leach's Storm-petrel
Wilson's Storm-petrel
Band-rumped Storm Petrel
Sooty Tern
Other birds seen:
Cory's and Audubon's Shearwaters
Northern Gannet
Some pictures to come. Have to sort through 600 pics between saturday and sunday >.<
