We had a great time at Huegenot Park on Saturday.Good birds and good birders too.
We met a nice birding couple from Georgia and two birders from Pinellas that were looking for Petrels after viewing the Sand Plover. The Pinellas ladies pointed out the lovely Black Tern to me and EagleEye promptly returned the favor by finding them a Leach's Storm Petrel which made everyone very happy.So happy that the Ga folks refound the Actic Tern and put us on it.
After we all had our respective fill of bird viewing, we celebrated with home made cowboy cookies, a lovely little micro baked batch ,heady with chocolate chips,oats,coconut and raisins.
(alcohol is not allowed in the park, so cookies had to suffice)
