We (wife and I) had a special encounter with sandhills and two chicks... at the new SWA Greenway off 45th St. in WPB. 2 adults and 2 chicks strolling down the trail towards us... we held still and they approached within 10 feet then casually detoured around us in the swale. It was a bit tense being that close to these birds with chicks present, but they were very well-mannered (and polite!)
