SANTA ROSA COUNTY
On Saturday 16th an OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER was seen in Gulf Breeze. This bird has repeatedly been found on the exact same perch for one or two days every year sometime during the last two weeks of August (B. Duncan).

WAKULLA COUNTY
On Saturday 16th at St. Marks NWR ten species of warblers including a two CERULEAN WARBLERS was found behind the visitor center and behind the rest rooms (T. Curtis). A BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO was heard calling along Wakulla Beach Rd section of SMNWR, approximately 2 miles in (near the spot that was partially cleared), (J. Murphy & J. Dozier). BREVARD COUNTY
A late report that on August 14th a squall line brought the following birds close to the beach at Patrick Air Force Base near Cocoa Beach. Shortly after noon, 50 CORY’S SHEARWATERS, 24 WILSON’S STORM-PETRELS, 6 GREATER SHEARWATERS, 6 AUDUBON’S SHEARWATERS, 5 SOOTY TERNS and 2 SOOTY SHEARWATERS were seen between the squall line and the beach before the weather consumed visibility (D. Freeland). DeLorme p. 88

On Saturday 16th an AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER was seen near the Click Ponds at Viera Wetlands. It was found in the field to the west of the Click Ponds, way out in the field to the northwest of the ponds. An UPLAND SANDPIPER was also found in the same area (A. Bankert). DeLorme p. 88

PINELLAS COUNTY
The HEERMANN’S GULL continues to be seen at Ft. DeSoto Park. It is often found at East Beach in the mornings or evenings, but has been seen anywhere in the park. Also present is a LONG-BILLED CURLEW that traditionally winters at North Beach (K. Gemeinhart & D. Reed). Over the weekend a female CERULEAN WARBLER was found at East Beach Woods and possibly a MANGROVE CUCKOO (S. Schlick). DeLorme p. 90; Pranty p. 126

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY
An UPLAND SANDPIPER was been seen this past week in the fields around Lucky Hammock (S. Schlick). Another five UPLAND SANPIPERS were found in the fields directly across the street from Benito Juarez Park on the road going to Everglades National Park on the 14th (L. Manfredi). DeLorme p. 122

MONROE COUNTY
A pelagic trip off of the keys on the 16th produced: one WILSON’S STORM-PETREL, 6 CORY’S SHEARWATER, 48 BRIDLED TERNS, 75 SOOTY TERNS, 2 BROWN NODDYS, & 6 BROWN BOOBIES (L. Manfredi). DeLorme p. 123

On Tuesday 19th at least four ANTILLEAN NIGHTHAWKS were seen around dusk at the Marathon Airport on Marathon Key (J. Rink). DeLorme p. 125; Pranty p. 252
