On the Key Largo trip this Saturday, led by TAS President Joe Barros, we hope to find Magnificent Frigatebird, White-crowned Pigeon, Mangrove Cuckoo, Gray Kingbird, Black-whiskered Vireo, Cuban Yellow Warbler, late migrants and West Indian vagrants, plus whatever other flora and fauna can be found in the largest remaining maritime tropical hardwood hammock in the United States. Anyone attending is welcome to join me after lunch (at the Buzzard's Roost, I assume) for a trip extension south to the Marathon area. We'll visit either Windley Key or Long Key State Park in search of more late migrants and West Indian vagrants, as well as Marathon Government Center for Roseate Tern, Marathon golf courses for Burrowing Owl and Marathon Airport at dusk for Antillean Nighthawk.
