Despite many visits to Griffin Road, my first Florida SB Ani was found in Palm Beach County! On Saturday, I was at on Torry Island in Belle Glade at 8:30am. I saw what I thought was a long-tailed, scruffy looking grackle. I pulled over quickly and grabed the binocs to see a lone ani. It was just past Slim's Fish Camp before the ampitheater. It was sitting on top of a contractor's dredge-boat on the left side of the road. It flew off after a couple of minutes. I didn't see or hear any others.

Other Torry Island bird hightlights included 4 circling roseate spoonbills, many soaring wood storks, and a yellow-crowned night heron just off-island.

Also--on Sunday I observed at least 75 wood storks, flying in formations above Wellington.
