A Connecticut Warbler was seen at A.D. Barnes at around 1pm today by Walter and I (sorry, Sue!) during the North American Migration Count. To get to the bird, go down the leaf litter path toward the fountain. At the fountain, make a left and go down to the end. The bird was seen about 10-15ft on the left hand side of that fork on the piece of hammock bordering the road. It was walking along on the ground amond the saw palmetto. The bird has a very clear white eye ring among the other usual fieldmarks for this species. After about 30 seconds of viewing, the bird continued walking toward the back, and we were not able to relocate it.
