Greeting Florida friends:; My migration to Massachusetts with Deterometry aka "Dude the gelilce" is complete. As I had my coffee I watched the last of the Pine siskins eat. Nesting in the yard are catbirds, pheobe, pine warbler, white breasted nuthatch, hairy woodpecker, house wren, tufted titmice ,and chickadee. The big migration is coming.
I spent the first hour outside brushing the pounds of thistle shells devored by siskins off my deck. I put some seed on the ground and went in the house to enjoy the flock of white throated sparrows when a Cooper hawk came in and then sat in the tree to eat a white throated sparrow. I wish he enjoyed a starling!!!
Beast of birding to all!!!!
