I had a Red-headed Woodpeckers in mid September at Birch State Park. It flew into the beach parking lot while we were getting out of the cars. Great way to start a walk. Word has it that Brian Hope mentioned that they can be seen traveling with Starlings. I believe I remember many many moons ago more than 25 years ago one was seen in Goulds (remember Roger?)
