Our problem isn't just that they are not stopping, they are not even flying over us. You recall all those nights when we could hear a steady stream of migrants overhead heading north. Even if we didn't see huge numbers the following day, at least we knew they flew through our area. I've been listening on several ocassions this spring, but so far nada! Is it a shift in migration routes, or a decrease in numbers? We don't know. But several slow springs isn't a cyclical event; it's a trend.
