While walking the dogs the other night I came upon some flattened feathers in the road. I believe it is a as flat as a pancake Orange-crowned warbler. It is overall green almost like a female Painted Bunting. Most of the many Orange-crowned we saw in southern Texas were overall light green. And the orange crown is a large very visible patch. I, of course, now have it in my freezer along with a Cape May, who unfortunately had its face chewed off my ants. I wouldn't mind passing my small, frozen collection on to another freezer. Any takers?
