The best place to look is along the paved bike path from No Name Harbor parking lot southward, to ~30 yards north of the restrooms. It vocalized infrequently, giving quick whistle-like "wheet" calls that are higher pitched and thinner than Great Crested Flycatcher. It's a small flycatcher with only slightest hint of yellow wash on belly. It's bill is dark and seems disproportionately large for its head. It may be a second-year bird and has little rufous on the wings. Rufous is apparent on the tail when the bird is perched, though not as strong as Great Crested. It prefers mid-canopy and likes to be within the foliage.
The hammock area is a scientific research site so everyone is asked to stay on the path. Kate Williams, Evan Adams and Erica Hernandez were original observers.
