The spring, 2009 edition of the North American Migration Count takes place on Saturday, May 9. As the NAMC compiler for Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties, I need the assistance of anyone who can find and identify birds to cover as much of these counties as possible (for a list of compilers in other Florida counties, see http://www.fosbirds.org/Events/NAMC/NAMC_County_Coordinators_May_04.html). Coverage may be individual or as a team. I don't assign anyone to cover a particular location; instead, you tell me which area you'd like to cover (even if it's just your backyard!) I'll let you know if others have volunteered to cover the same area, so we can avoid double-counting birds. In order for your data to be used in the compilation, you must contact me VIA EMAIL before May 9. Everyone who volunteers will be sent a tally sheet to record their sightings.
