Spring Migration - Not!

OK, this does it. I've seen it slow in the past but this is pathetic. Dade County is devoid of birds, and any semblance of spring migration has clearly left us completely out of the loop. A brief stop at Matheson this morning produced a heard Black-and-white. That's it. I haven't seen ANY notable reports for Dade County in April. By notable, I mean 15+ warbler species plus a few of their anxillary species (thrushe, grosbeaks, cuckoos, orioles..) Where are the orioles????

Anyway, here's my pathetic list from many attempts in April:

Blackpoll (2)
Black-throated Blue (3) considering I ve seen 80 in one tree in past springs, this is scary
Prothonotary (1)
Blue-winged (1)
Hooded (1)
Praitie (~6)
Parula (~3)
Redstart (~6)
Black-throated Green (1)
Yellow (2)
Ovenbird (1)
Black-and-white (~10)
Common Yellowthroat (~6)
Yellow-throated (1)
Cape May (~5)
Magnolia (2)
Palm (3)
Worm-eating (3)
N. Waterthrush (4)
L. Waterthrush (1)

All other warblers in April (0)

If I was to see all these in one day I'd still consider it slow due to the low counts. Now, I'm hoping that with this post, the collective Karma of everyone that wishes I get hit by a truck for being so negative becomes so strong that the birds will magically appear in a few days. It's worked in the past. Let's face it, whining works!
