Today around 5:00 I got very good looks at a Black-whiskered vireo. The Bonnet House has many different eco-systems including manicured gardens, lots of woods tons of mangroves and shoreline on the ICW and a fresh water slough. During migration this is often a very good spot. Also seen: Blue-headed, Magnolia, Prairie, Redstart, Common Yellowthroat. There is a nesting pair of Black-Hooded Parakeets and of course the obligatory pair of nesting Mute Swans.
