I received a report of La Sagra's Flycatcher at John Pennekamp SP in Key Largo and upon request got the following description:
"100% black bill, pale breast w/no yellow, white wing bars, rufous in tail, weep/weep whistle." It was foraging in the hardwoods on a nature trail. I decided against ash-throated based on no pale yellow flanks and I didn't notice any rufous in tail until flight.Overall color more gray than brown.
The location was described as:
If you drive into the John Pennecamp Coral Reef State Park and stay right, you end up in a parking lot near the boat dock where there are offices for boat rentals (not the main tour booking offices). From this parking lot there is access to a small loop nature trail and another trail leading to a group campsite. I saw the bird on the trail connecting the nature trail with the group campsite trail.
The bird was observed on 5 Apr, but I didn't get the info on the location until today, I thought that I should post just in case the bird is hanging around.
Good luck if you go,
