Wanted to check out the park for warblers since everyone is reporting some very cool ones from various parks. There was a dearth of warblers and only saw 3 species. Overall not much activity but saw the following:
Cedar Waxwings (many flying overhead all morning)
Purple Martin
Cooper's Park
Great Crested Flycatcher
Cardinal
Catbird
Ovenbird
Parula Warbler
Redstart (female)
Blue Jay
Mockingbird
Monk Parakeet
Short-Tailed Hawk (light phase) Perched for several minutes in clear view. My bird of the day and first ever for this park.
